After awhile you can't see your cursor, but the aim is still the same, to click where the circles are. If you succeed they will disappear, if you don't the game is over. The game is also over if you play too slowly. I have tried it with Chrome and Firefox and haven't had any problems with it after I close the tab. At least its malicious effect is easily dealt with: it affects only my browser (I was using Firefox) and ceases to affect anything after I killed its tab. Good riddance. Huh?
