The cartoon’s an unfair comment. It purports to make an analogy with a group of people from whom a selection must be made. (Candidates at job interviews, for example?) But monkeys, penguins, elephants, fish etc. don’t compete for the same ecological niche, and therefore don’t make a fair analogy.
If this assessment system is idiotic, how should it be changed?
